Do men go through menopause?

Men go through a phase in their older years (beginning late 40s or early 50s) when levels of the male hormone testosterone begin to fall. Some doctors feel that this fall is strong enough to give the condition a separate name – “andropause” or male menopause.  Lower energy levels, changes in mood, diminished sexual drive or libido, infertility and a tendency to accumulate fat are some of the common symptoms. Some dietary supplements like the thai herb Tongkat Ali and the amino acid L-Arginine have shown promise in helping with these symptoms.
