Our Chicken Sesame Kebab is quick to put together, yummy, easy on the tummy and fun to eat for all ages! Chicken is a great source of protein and easy to digest, hence a highly recommended choice for GERD patients. Lemon juice cleanses toxins and impurities from the gastrointestinal tract. It balances the pH levels so the digestive system can function properly. Manuka Honey adds a delicious punch to this recipe, while it also contains several strains of gut-friendly bacteria.

  • 200 g Boneless Chicken Breasts Cut into thin strips
  • 3 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Low-sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Manuka Honey
  • 175 g Assorted Salad Leaves
  • 1 Red Onions Thinly Sliced
  • 1 Large Carrot Peeled and Grated
  • 1 Chicory head Optional
  • 6 small Radishes Trimmed, washed and sliced
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
  • 3 tbsp Low-Fat Natural Yogurt

Instructions
  1. Thread the chicken on to pre-soaked wooden skewers.
  2. Mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with the soy sauce and honey in a small bowl. Brush the mixture over the chicken and leave to marinate for 15 minutes at least, more of time permits.
  3. Preheat the grill to high and line the rack with foil. Arrange the salad leaves on a large platter and top with sliced onions and grated carrots. Divide the chicory into separate leaves, if using, and place around the edges of the platter. Scatter over the radishes.
  4. Cook the chicken kebabs under the grill for 8 to 10 minutes, or until done. Remove from the grill and sprinkle sesame seeds generously over the kebabs.
  5. Mix the yogurt and remaining lemon juice in a small bowl and drizzle over the salad.
  6. Serve the kebabs hot with the salad on the side.
