Tadasana or Mountain Pose is the foundation of all standing yoga postures. Most of the standing poses are variations of this pose. Practicing this pose every day improves digestion and relieves acid reflux symptoms by stretching abdominal muscles. Tadasana works very well to provide relief from GERD.
Here are the steps for Tadasana
Step 1: Stand erect, and place your legs slightly apart
Step 2: Inhale and raise your arms straight above your head
Step 3: Stand on your toes while raising your heels simultaneously
Step 4: Bring your heels back to the ground and exhale
Step 5: Repeat this for five to six times
Practice this pose early morning after having two glasses of warm water.
